There’s something about a beautifully glazed piece of salmon that feels both effortless and elevated. This “Golden Glow BBQ Salmon” is one of my favorite go-to dinners when I want something nourishing, quick, and still a little bit special.
As a health-conscious mom, I’m always looking for meals that are rich in protein, full of healthy fats, and simple enough to make on a busy evening—but still beautiful enough to serve when friends come over. The natural richness of salmon paired with a slightly sweet, tangy barbecue glaze creates the perfect balance.
It’s the kind of dish that leaves you feeling satisfied, energized, and glowing—inside and out. Serve it outside on a warm evening or alongside a fresh summer salad, and it instantly becomes a moment. 🤍
Directions
- Preheat & Prep Preheat your grill (or oven) to medium heat, about 375–400°F. Lightly brush the salmon fillets with olive oil and season with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- Make the glaze In a small bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and lemon juice until smooth and glossy.
- Start cooking the salmon Place the salmon on the grill (skin-side down) or on a lined baking sheet if using the oven. Cook for about 6–8 minutes.
- Glaze & finish Brush a generous layer of the BBQ glaze over the salmon. Continue cooking for anot her 4–6 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Add an extra layer of glaze in the last minute for that caramelized finish.
- Serve beautifully Remove from heat and let rest for a minute. Serve with fresh lemon wedges and a sprinkle of herbs if desired.
Serving Suggestions
Serve on a beautiful platter or over a fresh salad in a large serving bowl for an elevated, effortless presentation. Pair with seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes, or a light citrus salad for a complete, balanced meal.
Storage Tip: Best enjoyed fresh the day it is prepared for optimal flavor and texture. If storing, place in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and gently reheat to maintain moisture.
With love from my kitchen to yours,
Kristen
